Unmanned Aerial Vehicles equipped with aerial video surveillance cameras are
used for border surveillance, perimeter security, and early warning intrusion
detection. Yet this Unmanned Aerial Vehicle or UAV is not your average
Autonomous Unmanned Micro Aerial Vehicle or AUMAV, because it does more than
just conduct aerial surveillance.
Introducing the MicroDrone Icarus Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, administered by a single user, and able to deploy unique abilities for many peacekeeping
applications.
Unique features:
- Attack Mode
- Counter-Sniper Mode
- EOD Detection Mode
- Aerial Surveillance Mode
- Stealth Mode
- Remote Control, GPS Routing, &
Vertical Take Off - Landing
(VTOL)
- Mission Integration Mode
Attack Mode: The system is
capable of remotely rendering hostile personnel incapacitated with
less-than-lethal force, making it the only UAV capable of defending itself in
close quarter combat scenarios. The Attack Mode can be configured to employ
facial recognition and laser targeting technology when dealing with hostile
people in remote countrysides or crowded city environments.
Counter-Sniper Operations: Sniper
detection and management are performed using live command controls from the
operator's remote interface. The system can be configured to deploy
countermeasures to repel a would-be sniper after possible threats have been
detected and confirmed. Threat neutralization generally involves the application
of less-then-lethal options.
EOD Detection: Unmannded Aerial
Vehicle uses MicroDrone sensor technology to detect buried objects. This method
of discovery is vital when alerting the user in hostile environments to the
presence of land mines or radio fired mines on the route taken by civilians,
protective forces, and diplomatic corps.
Aerial Video Surveillance: Live
video feed broadcast to users as well as stored video imagery. In the 1960's, U2
Spy Plane pilots took surveillance photos ground installations from the sky, and
now Unmanned Aerial Vehicles such as the Icarus MicroDrone can do just that. The
difference: no pilot is required, just someone who can operate the easy to use
flight controls and monitor live video imagery through the portable control
center.
Additional Features:
Stealth: The Icarus
Microdrone is able to hover over an area under surveillance with near silent
lift propulsion. This enables the remotely operated aerial vehicle to function
in urban environments without alerting those under surveillance to its
presence.
Remote Control, GP Routing, & Vertical Take Off -
Landing (VTOL): VTOL or Vertical Take Off and
Landing enables the Micrordone UAV to launch instantly under confined areas.

Flight plan routing based on preset GPS coordinate programming or radio
controlled operation. This comes in handy when the UAV travels out of the
operators line of sight. A Geofence or area you pre-configure with GPS waypoints
are then engaged to guide the UAV on a flight plan for reconnaissance
missions.

Mission Integration: Multiple
configurations are to accommodate various payloads. Integrated solutions include
high resolution still shot cameras, video camera systems, test equipment /
telemetry, detection equipment, and other systems to enhance functionality.
When combined with the Microdrone base system, the ICARUS ATFP Platform adds
valuable tools for detection of buried Improvised Explosive Devices (IED’s). The
system is also remotely able to immobilize hostile personnel with
less-than-lethal force, making the UAV the only UAV capable of defending itself
in Close Quarter Combat scenarios.
The UAV with its silent operation can protect VIP’s from assassination by
performing aerial observation, buried object detection, facial recognition, and
laser targeting of hostile personnel. The system uses less-than lethal force or
remote CS/CN tear gas deployment, and is also invaluable for counter-sniper
detection and neutralization.

Q: Are Unmanned Aerial Vehicles or UAV equipped to carry explosives or offensive weapons?
A: The MicroDrone Icarus UAV is not designed for explosive weapons transport, but
for aerial reconnaissance and video surveillance.
Q: How long does the UAV operate for?
A: On-board battery cells will power flying time from about 15 - 20
minutes, depending upon how much video surveillance equipment and other
telemetry are being hauled.
