As a listening device, the Wireless Earphone receives radio signals from a wireless induction coil, usually placed 5 - 12 inches away, and connects to your portable radio. When portable VHF Radios receives an incoming transmission, the wireless induction coil then re-broadcasts that transmission to the Wireless Earphone in your ear.

A surveillance microphone with built-in condenser microphone and PTT switch (push to talk) is included so you may communicate covertly and discretely. This surveillance microphone connects the the induction coil to Portable VHF Radios from SpyZone, enabling quick response when you speak, and when you release to listen to radio communications. This surveillance microphone and active PTT button can be wired on your person, placed by your wrist by laying the wiring through your shirt and up your sleeve, enabling discreet speech over the air.
