Scrambled Radio VHF

Scrambled Radio VHF

Price:

$390.00

Scrambled Radio model X328V compact VHF Radio or Programmable Radio is used for secure VHF radio communications with a programmable keypad for radio encryption by surveillance teams, security teams, VIP protection staff, and those who need to communicate privately without eavesdroppers listening to their conversations. Programmable radios such as our X328V VHF Radio are portable radios offering you and one or additional partners the ability to speak in a secure manner. Our Scrambled Radio provide a secure communication link, using a built-in scrambler circuit.

Should anyone have a scanner or attempt to eavesdrop on your portable radios conversation, the Voice Privacy feature will prevent them.  Instantly, your conversation becomes indecipherable to anyone other than your listening party.

How it works:
All outgoing transmissions are routed through an actual privacy chip inside the radio. All outgoing transmissions can be set to work in the Scrambled Mode.  The incoming transmissions also go through the chip, enabling simultaneous re-integrating of the transmission, while retaining clear reception.

About VHF Radios:
VHF Radio signals can go farther in open areas, specifically in outdoor environments. VHF Radios transmit and receive communications over wide distances such as open fields, urban housing neighborhoods, and spread out city areas. VHF tends to perform slightly farther than line of sight communications. Although they work well indoors for
security teams and security details, they work exceptionally well outdoors.

In addition to each radio, a discreet ear phone with a push to talk microphone is available for inconspicuous one-way and two-way communication. These listening devices come in wireless and hard wired configurations.

Features:

  • Encryption Privacy: Scrambles your voice so would be eavesdroppers will not understand your conversation
  • CTCSS  / DCS :     helps block out other people that use the same co-channels that you communicate on - a privacy feature for keeping radio users not within your 'radio group' out . . . also called Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System / Digital Coded Squelch
  • Low battery alert: lets you know when you are running low with operating power
  • Time out timer: used to limit the transmission talk time of a radio user
  • Backlight display: adjustable up to 3 different colors
  • Compact and sturdy design
  • Power Transmission Selector:  you can choose to broadcast on a high or low power setting, so if your partner is far away, you can increase the normal transmission of power
  • Scan Feature:  lets you scan multiple channels and when activity is detected, it homes into that channel
  • Incoming Alert: when an incoming signal arrives, a bell tone rings

Q:  How far can the Scrambled Radios transmit?

A:  The transmission distance will vary based on upon several factors, such as Radio Frequency limitations due to small or large volumes of radio traffic in the area of operation, environmental factors such as hills, trees, buildings, houses, and other structural densities that Radio Frequencies must penetrate, and the power output of the actual radios. Because the Scrambled Radios use 7.2 Volt batteries, with a power output of 5 Watts, it is safe to estimate that one will receive 1 mile of distance for each Watt of power given off from the Scrambled Radio.

Q:  How long can one talk for using the Scrambled Radios?

A:  The talk time will vary on factors such as environment and standby time, but a good estimation for the amount of talk time available would range from 12 - 14 hours.

Q:  How long does it take to charge the Scrambled Radios?

A:  About 5 + hours.
